The simplest way to answer this question is that commercial modeling in New York and many places around the country is a type of modeling that is broader and more general compared to other types. Commercial modeling is often compared with high fashion or editorial modeling. High fashion models are hired to model the fashion designs of high-end designers and are the highest paid ones among models. These models are rare because most aspiring male and female models do not meet the high standard required of a fashion model.
